Tiny House, a quest for the essential
Tiny house, a quest for the essential
Here is an original book that lists the 80 projects submitted during the first “Tiny House, towards essential architecture and design” competition organized by the Huttopia corporate foundation. Aside: the company Huttopia, created in 1999, develops ecotourism and more specifically what is now called "glamping", a comfortable and aesthetic type of camping holiday. 273 people with various backgrounds, graduates or students, from architecture, design or building craftsmanship competed. Although most of these projects have remained at the sketch stage and focus on the specifics of ecotourism, this book has the advantage of opening up the imagination and distilling practical construction tips in small spaces. Special mention for L'Estive, the winning project by young architects Camille Bluin and Léo-Paul Chorel (69), with their ingenious mobile walls and furniture. J.B.
