THE TINY-HOUSE PHENOMENON

More than just a fad, Tiny Houses meet current expectations in terms of housing, economy and eco-responsibility. They are part of a need to live a simpler life and ever closer to nature. Today, fans of Tiny Houses are of all ages, come from all backgrounds and are looking for a way of life that breaks away from everyday life, of lightness and freedom fundamentally in line with the values ​​defended by Huttopia for over 20 years old. Architects, designers and builders of Tiny Houses have never been so numerous and yet the means to promote these creators and build prototypes are still lacking. The Huttopia Foundation has therefore decided to support these designers by creating an international competition in 2020 and giving the winners the technical and financial means to build their prototype, and all candidates the opportunity to make their work known.

LIVING IN WARM CLIMATES

At a time when climate change is becoming even more significant, the Huttopia Foundation has placed the 2nd edition of its competition under the theme “living in a hot climate”. More than 75 candidates from all over the world provided a response to this problem by advocating essential architecture and design.
